Week 12 Injury Report

Laveranues Coles WR Cincinnati Bengals
Injury: Chest (Questionable)

Coles missed practice both on Wednesday and Thursday with a chest injury, but was able to return to work on Friday. He was limited in what he could do though.

Fantasy Spin: From the looks of it, Coles will probably be a game-time decision for the Bengals on Sunday against the Browns. Andre Caldwell will start in his place if he cannot go. The match-up is a pretty good one against the shaky Cleveland secondary.

Cedric Benson RB Cincinnati Bengals
Injury: Hip (Questionable)

Benson did very little work this week in practice, leaving his status for Sundays game up in the air. Coach Lewis feels that Benson may be able to go, but nothing has been confirmed.

Fantasy Spin:
This will be another game-time decision, but if cannot play definitely take a look at Bernard Scott. Scott played well against Oakland last week. The competition will be even weaker on Sunday with the Browns.

Michael Turner RB Atlanta Falcons
Injury: Ankle (Questionable)

Turner failed to complete another week of practice, hurting his chances of playing at all on Sunday. Turner is suffering from a high ankle sprain.

Fantasy Spin: High ankle sprains normally take a few weeks to recover from, so I find it highly unlikely that Turner will be able to give it a go on Sunday. Keep an eye on the reports in the morning to see his final status. Jason Snelling looked really good last weekend and will start in Turners place. His match-up is not as favorable this week.

Steven Jackson RB St. Louis Rams

Injury: Back (Questionable)

Jackson did not participate in practice all week and is looking to be a game-time decision on Sunday with an injured back.

Fantasy Spin:
Jackson has been quoted as saying he is feeling better but that doesn’t shine much light on the situation. He will work out in the pre-game to see if his back will be OK against Seattle. There is no other option if Jackson cannot run the ball.

Julius Jones RB Seattle Seahawks
Injury: Ribs (Doubtful)

The team was optimistic earlier in the week that Jones would be able to return to full practice and play on Sunday. The ribs are still causing him a lot o pain and his practice time has been limited.

Fantasy Spin: I would be very surprised if Jones was able to give it a go on Sunday against the Rams. Expect Justin Forsett to carry the load for the Seahawks against an awful Rams run defense.

Ben Roethlisberger QB Pittsburgh Steelers
Injury: Concussion (Out)

Roethlisberger was positive about starting earlier in the week, but he now has been officially ruled out of Sundays contest with the Ravens with lingering headaches.

Fantasy Spin: Normally Charlie Batch would fill in for Big Ben, but he is out for the season with a wrist injury. The Steelers will turn to Dennis Dixon who will be making his first start of his career. He is going against the Ravens defense, so steer clear.
