Oakland Raiders at New Orleans Saints

Fresh off a career-high 277 passing yards against San Diego, JaMarcus Russell will face the league’s 27th ranked pass defense, and he could be in for another solid day. He hooked up with Zach Miller five time for 95 yards in that game, but that may have been more a product of the Chargers’ inability to cover tight ends; they have allowed the most catches, yards and touchdowns to TEs this year. Otherwise, there aren’t any good receiving options on the Raiders as the running back squad is usually the most dependable source of receptions. Darren McFadden will be limited with a toe injury so Michael Bush, who caught seven passes for 80 yards in his last game, will also be the primary ball-carrier.

Drew Brees has thrown for at least 330 yards in four of five games this year, and should never be on your bench. Devery Henderson, Lance Moore and Robert Meachem have all been trading targets, and are all low-risk, high reward options since they’ll all likely rack up the receiving yards even if they don’t find the end zone. Reggie Bush has been heavily involved in the passing game as well, and has been getting almost all the carries. Deuce McAllister and Pierre Thomas have become non-factors. Start Sebastian Janikowski because the Saints have given up a lot of field goals this year, but sit Martin Gramatica, who is a walking disaster, even if Sean Payton doesn’t take the same advice.
